Peaceful Planet Yoga was founded in October of 2009 under the direction of Kristin Davey. Kristin is a mama to 3 active and inspiring children. Kristin is honored to have attended a variety of classes & workshops with phenomenal teachers including Elena Brower, Sean Corne, Rod Stryker, Gabrielle Bernstein, MC Yogi, Jillian Pransky, Colleen Saidman Yee, Rodney Yee and Dr. Melody Moore.
Kristin's kids yoga classes are fun, engaging focus on emotional well-being, breathing for purpose, mindfulness, & meditation
All classes ends with mindful moments, simple meditations, breath-work, magic mist, sparkles and guided visualizations to help children experience wellness, success, happiness and a sense of peace.
In the fall of 2018, Kristin was certified in Restorative Yoga at Kripalu. In the summer of 2019 Kristin completed Yoga for Parkinson's Disease teacher training & currently volunteers with the Rock Steady Boxing & Ping Pong for Parkinson's programs. Kristin is also a certified Level I/II Restorative Yoga teacher offering essential oil workshops and retreats for women. Each workshop centers around an oily them and includes breath~work, guided meditations and an oily DIY's. Retreats are offered in Southern Vermont at a spacious mountain home and include aromatherapy treatments, private meditation room, indoor spa, an oil infused sauna, breath~work, rustic vegetarian fare, restorative yoga, essential oil workshops and creative projects for manifesting abundance.
Kristin believes a child's yoga experience should be FUN, SILLY, and ENGAGING! Kristin encourages a love of yoga through playful yoga style games, lots of music, trust building exercises, partner yoga poses, strength building poses, and simple meditations. In all of her classes, children will be encouraged to use their imaginations through creative and unique yoga style games. Yoga games incorporate listening skills, co-operation, co-ordination and team building - essential skills for success in school & life. Children are introduced to counting in Sanskrit, and Sanskrit vocabulary. Playful props such as scarves, pom-poms, yoga blocks, pinwheels, and bells are incorporated in Kristin's classes to engage children to explore yoga poses in fun and challenging ways. All classes ends with mindful moments, simple meditations, breath-work, magic mist, sparkles and guided visualizations to help children experience wellness, success, happiness and a sense of peace.
